Some basic information to help you determine which valve you require:

Solenoid Valves require an electrical signal to open or close, thus allowing or preventing the flow of a liquid or gaseous substance. Solenoid Valves require an electrical signal to open or close the valve.

• When the valve is ‘Normally Closed’, the valve requires electrical power to open.
• When the valve is ‘Normally Open’, the valve requires power to close.

Due to the electrical actuation, Solenoid Valves fall into two categories:

• Safe Area. Where explosive gases are not present in the atmosphere.
• Explosive Area. Where explosive gases are present in the atmosphere.

Different body materials are available, which can influence valve selection when considering the media compatibility. For instance, Stainless Steel could be specified for chemicals. The valve port sizes are used to connect the valve to the pipe work. Our range is from 1/8” to 12”.
